Information Security Body of Knowledge (BOK)
A shared reference of cybersecurity knowledge, practices and standards for Brunei — helping practitioners, educators and organisations speak a common language on security.
The Information Security Body of Knowledge (BOK) is one of BCSA's core initiatives under “Forming a Stronger Cyber Community.” It brings together the concepts, practices and standards that make up cybersecurity as a discipline, into a shared reference for Brunei's practitioners, educators and organisations.
By building a common body of knowledge, BCSA aims to raise the baseline of cybersecurity literacy across the country — supporting curriculum development for academic partners, informing training and certification pathways, and giving organisations a consistent reference when developing their own security policies and practices.
Why it matters
Cybersecurity threats are increasingly sophisticated, and every organisation and individual has a part to play in building a safer digital environment. A shared body of knowledge helps ensure that as Brunei's cybersecurity community grows — through membership, academic partnerships and corporate collaboration — everyone is working from the same foundation.
